"Boss"

| Boss is the most obsessed hunter I have ever met. Instead of going for a walk, it is a track, & every bush has bird or bunny potential. Boss has passed his love of hunting on to his offspring as well. In his youth, Boss was Puppy of Breed at Melbourne Royal, as was a daughter from his first litter. He was only ever lightly shown. Boss is very well put together, & naturally maintains an amazing fitness level & muscle tone. At the age of seven & a half years, he attained his Endurance Test with no preparation, having never run with a bike, a handler he had never met, & completed it with no trouble at all. I'm sure he could have run it again if asked. Not bad for the equivalent of about a 55 year old person! He has a beautiful head, & that free flowing movement that Grausturm dogs are known for. Boss is the litter brother of Ned Ch, WW-02 Grausturm Extra Special 'V'(LH) of Holland, & half brother of Aust Ch, Swedish Ch, NW-04, SW-07 WWV-08 Grausturm Dare To Dream 'V'(LH) of Sweden. We took Boss to the Weimaraner Club of NSW State Specialty, October 2008, as he had never been graded. Under Dr Axel Linneweber (FCI) Germany, he was graded Excellent, and placed 3rd in the Aust Bred class, at only ten days short of his 8th birthday. He had not been shown since he titled in February 2004! Judges Critique - 8 year old large frame heavy type in excellent condition. Correct scissor bite. Very strong muzzle matches skull. Strong neck. Longer ears. Bones & tail very strong. Gait is harmonious & ground covering with good reach and drive. Thank you to Ingrid for breeding sound Weimaraners that can do what they were bred to do, do it all day long, & are not over the hill at five. And to Maree, who let us add this much loved boy to our grey family three years ago. The next thing that Boss will turn his 'hand' to is tracking, & we will have a go at Obedience, just so long as 'heel' does not become 'track'! |
